In polyethylene and ethane cracking operations, intercoolers are especially vulnerable to hardened polymer fouling that restricts flow, reduces heat transfer efficiency, and limits overall unit performance. While most facilities face two suboptimal options such as removing the equipment for off-site cleaning, or attempting conventional hydroblasting in place, we provide a third option that restores flow and performance without equipment removal, overcoming the limitations of traditional methods.
